My name is Tiffany Sutton, and I am proud to be entering my third year as principal at Puesta del Sol Elementary School. With 25 years in education, I remain deeply passionate about supporting students and building strong partnerships with families.
At Puesta del Sol, our mission is to create a safe, welcoming, and culturally responsive environment where all students grow as readers, thinkers, and lifelong learners. This year, our school-wide focus continues to be improving reading comprehension to ensure academic success in all areas.
We are guided by our five school pillars: Be Prepared, Be Responsible, Be Orderly, Be Polite, and Be Safe. I am committed to working with our staff, students, and families to bring these values to life each day.

Our Focus
At Puesta del Sol, our main goal is to improve students’ comprehension of academic content by strengthening vocabulary skills that support finding key details, drawing conclusions, and making inferences in both reading and math. We will achieve this through differentiated small group instruction and monitor progress using benchmark assessment data.
