Dear Puesta Del Sol Families,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I introduce myself to you as the new principal at Puesta Del Sol Elementary School. Puesta Del Sol has a rich and proud history in VESD, and I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead the PDS team and school community.
My name is Tiffany Sutton and I have dedicated my career to educating children. After teaching in Los Angeles for over ten years, I relocated to Victorville, CA in 2012. I have served as a teacher and principal in the High Desert for the past nine years, and am now joining the Puesta Del Sol community as your child’s principal.
My top priority is to ensure your child is learning in a safe and nurturing school environment. I truly believe that educating our children is a team effort that requires a partnership between teachers, parents and school leadership. As the old African Proverb states, “It takes a village to raise a child.” I am excited to see your children through your eyes and cannot wait to share with you the great things they do throughout their days here at Puesta Del Sol. Please know that I am also here for you as parents, should you need any help navigating any aspect of your child’s education.

This year promises to be successful as we continue to regain a sense of normalcy. You can expect that I will continue to work with teachers to ensure that your child(ren) has the tools and support that they need to be most successful. In addition to working with students, I’m excited to develop a partnership with you. I assure you that my door is always open, and I welcome your positive contributions to our learning community. I hope that our collaboration will foster the absolute best learning experience for your student.
